WHAT IS THE SORTING HAT?
Firstly the sorting hat is not automated, which means it does not automatically give feedback to any new applicant.
Now with our voting system for applicants being unique, and allowing those already in the house you are applying to enter to vote on your character, we have decided to create a level of anonymity for those users.
This means when the sorting hat posts saying for example: "The x vote: +2" this means that you have +2 points towards your application, this does not mean that +2 users have voted for you. For more information as to the point system, as well as an explanation on what it's used for go here.
Finally, the sorting hat will never publicly post negative, nor positive feedback on your application, this means if you wish to know information regarding what the student populace is saying, please PM The Sorting Hat, and any major opinions and concerns whether they are positive or negative will be elaborated on.
