I don't want to make these too complex, but I feel that there's a few things that should be brought up about applications.
Firstly as long as you follow the guidelines, and the template for the application there's probably not going to be an issue.
However here are some things to just know when you're writing your application:
Firstly as long as you follow the guidelines, and the template for the application there's probably not going to be an issue.
However here are some things to just know when you're writing your application:
- Be sure to proofread your application!
- When applying if your character is a pureblood, you'll need to explain how they're a pureblood.
- Your RP sample must not be a piece of fanfiction.
- Do your research. Use all online resources available.
- Please don't god mod. (We don't want to see a character that's good at EVERYTHING.)
- Don't use significant amounts of BBCode to modify the application. (And please don't center it.)
- As mentioned int he general rules, please try to keep in mind the era we're roleplaying in.
- Your character can't be the "soul mate" of a canon character who already has a future significant other. (crush sure, but they can't be "in love")
- Remember this is a Marauder Era roleplay. This means you cannot be Hermione Granger.
- Admin's do not need to apply for characters, however they will probably post applications anyway so other roleplayers have something to reference in regards to their characters.
- The voting process for applications is a semi-open process. This means the Administrators, Moderators and any member of the board in the house the applicants character is in for can vote. (This means if someone is applying for Gryffindor and you're Lily Evans, you get to vote.)
- **NEW** Those who are voting on applicants/characters in their house, please voice any and all concerns/opinions/etc here: [xxxxx] This is meant to assure some level of anonymity to those submitting their votes.
- Applications will be processed within two business days. If there are no votes from users in that house, the Administration will make the executive decision on the applicant. It is highly recommended roleplayers from the houses vote on applicants as it allows them to voice opinions and concerns on a character whom they will be house mates, and possibly roommates with.
- More will be added in the near future.
