THE POINT SYSTEM:
Keep in mind that we will never publicly post your overall point score when publicly reviewing your application.
The point system is a basic system used by the administration to determine whether or not your application is accepted. There is no required number of points for a user to be accepted. Characters are awarded points for other students from their potential house like the character or voice positive opinions, as well as certain elements of their character that are very much appreciated. (i.e: a very well detailed family history, realistic goals, phenomenal written portion)
Points are lost when students from their potential house dislike their application/character, voice concerns, or negative opinions, as well as various charactertistics, elements missing from the application, the application being done incorrectly, ect. (i.e: a pureblood female student who is Lucius Malfoy's sister, but has no explanation as to how she fits into the Malfoy family dynamic)
As long as your positive points outweigh your negative points your application will be accepted without any issue.
Please note: Negative and Positive points cancel each other out! This means if you have +6 points but -3 points, you only have +3 points, and although we will never publicly post your overall point score, when the sorting hat posts the points allotted from the students in your potential house it may not be that only X number of people voted for you.
(Perhaps there are 8 people from your potential house who vote. 6 vote for you but 2 vote against you, your score would only be a +4)
More will be added to this post in the future.
