Here is the general board rules, regarding applications, forums, users, posting, and all things regarding this forum.

(Admin note: Yes this is a lot of rules, but this post is an overview of rules for the entire board, if you want rules for applications go here: [xyz])

• The year set in this roleplay is 1976. This means the Marauders are in their sixth year, and character ages should be set accordingly.
  
  
• Characters not canonically set in the Marauder's schooling years CAN be included (for example- the Black sisters) if discussed with the admin before hand.
  
  
• No godmoding.
  
  
• One account per character. This applies to any forum staff and admin as well.
  
  
• Your display name for your account must be the name of your character.
  
  
• It should go without saying but: No Mary-sues/Gary-stu's
  
  
• Canon must be adhered to- though there is a lot of room for improvisation and speculation, for example: James will end up with Lily and liked her before, however he had multiple flings with other witches. Everything must be explainable, and fit in somehow with the original canon.
  
  
• Please consider canon characters before originals.
  
  
• Keep some standard of literacy in posts. We aren't expecting long, flowing unblemished posts every time, however proofreading is appreciated. There is no minimum or maximum for replies posts: whatever you feel would be most appropriate, or possible.
  
  
• Take advantage of the messaging system or online messengers to discuss plot lines with other characters!
  
  
• Keep any references to the time period set- Britney Spears does not yet exist, and the clothing styles when not in uniform should be believable for the seventies.
  
  
• Homosexual characters are accepted although please be careful about keeping the sexuality adherent to the time- if an amass of characters are all gay, characters will have to be rejected simply to keep the ratio semi-correct.
  
  
• Additionally we accept various "Half breed" students, but remember to express immense caution with these due to the cultural, and social bias towards them during the period, as well as the fact that they can be dangerous. (We will probably have a slight stigma towards these characters, and be a little harder on their applications merely to weed out anyone playing "vampires" because of the current trend.
  
  
• That being said we don't accept people who are full giant, or the like, as it simply wouldn't have happened, even if hogwarts is known for allowing half breeds into the schooling system.
  
  
• We do not tolerate harassment, or trolling. If you don't like someone, their character or anything regarding them contact the administration team, we will have a set up called a "No contact order" for situations like this. Do not troll, or harass the other user, it will result in the review and possible termination of your account.
  
  
• Don't spam. It is true there is no minimum or maximum posting requirement per post, and it is true we want activity, but we don't want you spamming the forums (abusing the house point system) if there is a plot that is between two of your own characters that is absolutely essential to flesh out by all means do it, but don't span it over 20 short posts.
  
  
• Use all the useful links, and resources provided to you if you are stuck on something. If you can't find your answer don't hesitate to ask.
  
  
• Be careful. Any personal information posted on this board is at the discretion of the user. Should a situation arise we will do what we can to alleviate it but we will not be held accountable for any possible repercussions.
  
  
• You may apply for a maximum of five characters. This being said when you apply for new characters we will be taking into consideration your prior activity, in determining if your application will be accepted. But no person, at any time, should have more than five characters.
  
  
• Canon's over Originals. Of course we realize that there are not many students known from the Marauder Era, which is why even after the canon character list has filled up, original character applications will still be available.
  
  
• If you're going to be away from the boards, notify us. We have flexible activity requirements, if you do not post in thirty days you will lose the rights to your face claim/playby as well as your character (if it's canon), After sixty days of inactivity your account will be deleted, with or without notice (at the discretion of the Administration team.)
  
  
• Have fun. If you find for any reason you are no longer having fun with this roleplay, we don't want you to hesitate in making the decision to leave the forum without notice. We understand things change, people change, and personal situations change. So we understand if you can't continue on play, or no longer get enjoyment out of it.
  
  
• Tell all your friends. This isn't really a rule but the more people you recruit the more points your house gets, at the end of the 1976-1977 school term, We will skin/layout the boards to the colors of the winning house for the entirety of the summer "downtime".
  
  
• DO NOT FEED THE JAMES. (It distracts him from his cave of code)
